Ibrahim Naiya Sada is a Professor of Islamic and Comparative Law in the Faculty of Law, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He holds LL.B, LL.M and Ph.D in Law. He leads in the implementation of Green Horizon’s work on capacity building of the traditional justice system and capacity building of judges and staff of Sharia courts and Area Courts. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1979. He was Dean of Law (1992 – 1997), Director Center for Islamic Legal Studies, ABU (1989 – 1991 and 2001 – 2004) and Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration (2012 – 2016). He served as Legal Adviser to the President of Zanzibar (1998 – 2000). He served as Election Tribunal Chairman and as Chairman Election Appeal Tribunal in the 1990s in Kano State. He has vast experience in working with International Organizations, like the DFID and the British Council. He has successfully supervised many Ph.Ds and is currently supervising 3 PhDs in Islamic and Comparative Law. He has taught full-time for 43 years.
